NDLEA raids drug factory, arrests suspect in Ogun
Around Ajaka in the Sagamu Local Government Area of the state, agents of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency demolished a drug factory and detained a suspect, Adekunle Adekola.
Ibiba Odili, the state commander of the NDLEA, made this information public in a statement on Saturday.
Odili claimed that on Thursday, the authorities raided the factory and took several items, including codeine, skuchies, and cannabis sativa.
Skuchies are a mixture of many medicines.
However, the NDLEA commander claimed that the main suspect, a well-known drug dealer named Abiodun, also known as Iya Tobi, managed to flee.
Odili said, “Exhibits seized at the factory during the operation included 124 gallons of five litres of skuchies, 306 gallons of three litres of skuchies, 10kg of cannabis sativa, 20 litres of cough syrup with codeine, seven deep freezers, two gas cylinders, one industrial cooker, four stabilisers, one generator and one sound system with a speaker.â€
