NDLEA seizes 164,750 tramadol, other illegal pills in Taraba

According to NDLEA spokesman Mr. Femi Babafemi, 164,750 tramadol and other illegal pills have been confiscated in Taraba.

He claimed that Henry Abuchi and Daniel Ugwoke, two suspects, were where the drugs were found.

He continued by saying that basket market in Asaba also yielded 96 compressed blocks of Indian hemp weighing 82kg that were hidden within large quantities of cassava flour.

On March 21 on the Okene-Abuja Highway in Kogi, NDLEA agents also seized 45 blocks of compressed Indian hemp weighing 23kg from one Abubakar Muhammad.

When he was detained, he was riding in a bus that had left Lagos for Maiduguri.

He said Mrs. Kudirat Bello, a female drug dealer, was detained on March 20 in Igbesa, Ogun, with various quantities of methamphetamine, Indian hemp, rophynol, and cash exhibits totalling N119,600.

“In Lagos, more than 1,000kg of Indian hemp were recovered from three suspects – Bolaji Adesina, Femi Ojo and Jamiu Useni during a raid at Mushin,’’ Babafemi added.
