NDLEA seizes tramadol tablets, others
In Adamawa and Edo, according to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, 21,800 tramadol tablets were seized.
This is stated in a statement provided to newsmen in Abuja on Sunday by the agency's spokesperson, Mr. Femi Babafemi.
Sahabi Mohammed, 39, a suspect, was detained in connection with 8,800 satchels of tramadol tablets in Adamawa, according to Babafemi.
He said N60,000 counterfeit notes were discovered on the suspect, and on Wednesday, Bala Umar, another suspect, was also taken into custody.
Additionally, 8.25 litres of formalin, often known as "Suck and Die," and 2.850 kg of cannabis sativa were seized at Anguwar Laka in the state's Numan Local Government Area.
While travelling to Ekiti state from Edo, a Toyota Previa bus with the registration number NER 460 XA carrying 13,000 pills of tramadol and diazepam was stopped.
Femi Oluwadar, the car's driver, was arrested on Friday, according to the spokeswoman.
Another suspect, Ahmed Rafiu, 34, was also apprehended by authorities in Kogi with 84 blocks of compressed cannabis totalling 43.200kg.
Similarly, three individuals were found with 381.1kg of the same material when they boarded a Sienna bus in Anambra.
“The culprits were Innocent Saturday; Sunday Asuquo and Akpan Asukuma.
“They were arrested by a combined patrol team of security agents comprising NDLEA operatives and other security agencies at Nnobi in Anambra,†Babafemi said.
