Nigeria Air Force rescued seven kidnapped victims in Kaduna
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) claimed that seven kidnapped victims had been freed by its special troops.
Six girls and one man who had been abducted, according to a statement by Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet, Director of Public Relations and Information, were freed close to Birnin Gwari in Kaduna State.
The lone male victim said that he was taken against his will from Rijau in Niger State, whereas the female victims claimed that they were abducted from Paikoro in Niger State.
On August 6, 2023, Gabkwet said that the special forces were patrolling close to Birnin Gwari when the terrorists abandoned their victims and escaped into neighbouring woodland.
After being examined, the victims were brought to the NAF medical facility in Birnin Gwari; however, the male victim is still being watched.
