Nigerian actress Princess Chineke joins U.S Army
Princess Chineke, a former beauty queen and Nollywood actress, made a revolutionary career change by enlisting in the US Army.
Chineke, who has modelled for many ads, billboards, and fashion shows and represented her state in the prestigious Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) pageant, has formally sworn to serve in the U.S. military.
Some of her admirers, who remember her for her enthralling Nollywood performances, were taken aback by the announcement. In recognition of her early accomplishments during her time at university, she also previously held the title of Miss UNIBEN.
Chineke gave an explanation of her choice, expressing her strong feeling of obligation and appreciation to her new nation.
“I’m an American Soldier, I am a member of a team. We are the Army and proud of our name. We are the Army and proudly proclaim. I answered the call of service to my country, to serve the people of the United States. This I will defend. So help me God,” she wrote in a heartfelt statement.
Princess Chineke concluded her message with a note of faith and patriotism: “God bless America. What God cannot do does not exist.”
