Nigerian army arrests fake soldier in Lagos, hands him to the police
The Nigerian army detained and turned over a phoney soldier to the Lagos State Police Command on Wednesday. The bogus soldier's name is Silas Dickson, according to a post made on X on Wednesday by Benjamin Hundeyin, the police command's spokesperson.
He said that members of the Nigerian Army's 243 Battalion in Badagry had apprehended the 25-year-old impostor and given him over to the police command so that he could face charges.
"Fake soldier, Silas Dickson, aged 25, arrested by soldiers of 243 Battalion @HQNigerianArmy, Badagry and handed over to @LagosPoliceNG for prosecution," said Hundeyin on his X page.
