Nigerian artiste Banky W, relocates to US with family

The well-known Nigerian R&B singer Bankole Wellington, also referred to as Banky W, moved to the US with his family. 

The head of Empire Mates Entertainment made the announcement on Instagram, stating that he will be attending Georgetown University in Washington, DC, to obtain a master's degree.

 Banky W requested his fans to give their best wishes as they begin this new chapter alongside a picture of himself, his wife, actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington, and their child at the airport. 

According to PUNCH Online, the 43-year-old musician wed Adesua in 2017 after being born in the United States. 

The musician ran multiple times for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency in Lagos State, but was unsuccessful.

In his Instagram caption, Banky W, on Monday, wrote, “For family. For finding purpose.

“For the next year of earning a Master’s degree in Policy Management at Georgetown University in Washington DC.

“Wish us well.”

Reacting via the comment section, his wife, a renowned actress, Adesua wrote, “Home is wherever you are.”

Popular celebrities and fans also wished the family best of luck.
