Nigerian troops kill six bandits in Kaduna, recover weapons
Six alleged bandits were slain by Nigerian army troops while on patrol through the Kaduna local government areas of Birnin Gwari and Giwa.
The troops also retrieved weapons and ammunition, according to Samuel Aruwan, commissioner for internal security and home affairs. These items included two AK-47 rifles, four AK-47 magazines, 14 rounds of ammunition, 40 pairs of "bandits' uniforms," and nine motorcycles.
“Operational feedback to the Kaduna state government revealed that the troops began their advance along the Kaduna-Sabon Birni-Dogon Dawa road, clearing Maidaro and Ngede Allah, before proceeding to Saulawa and Kidandan general areas,†he said.
“In the course of these operations, the forces made contact with bandits at Maidaro, Ngade Allah, and Kidandan.â€
According to Aruwan, the governor is overjoyed to hear about the security forces' breakthrough.
In order to help security agencies respond quickly, he also pleaded with the public to report suspicious individuals or activities.

At Chikun and Kajuru LGA in Kaduna, on November 15, troops also killed a bandit and found one AK-47 rifle.
Earlier, the army had killed three bandits and taken one AK-47 rifle, one AK-47 rifle made locally, four rounds of 7.62mm (Special) ammunition, and one cell phone.
