Nigeria's Ambassador to Spain, Demola Seriki, dies at 63
Demola Seriki, Nigeria's ambassador to Spain, has passed away.
The lawmaker from Lagos allegedly passed away in Madrid, Spain. His age was 63.
On Thursday, a message with his children's signatures revealed his passing. According to the announcement, he passed away in the early morning hours in Madrid, Spain.
“It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude to Almighty Allah that we announce the loss of our much-loved and admired patriarch, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, His Excellency, Ambassador Demola Seriki, on December 15, 2022.
“He passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in Madrid, Spain,†the notice said.
He was a politician, educator, businessperson, and public administrator. He was born on November 30, 1959. He was appointed Nigeria's ambassador to Spain in January 2021, and he held that position until his death. He was also accredited to represent Nigeria as the country's permanent representative to the United Nations World Tourism Organization. He previously held the position of Minister of State for Defense in Nigeria.
