Nollywood actor Murphy Afolabi is dead
As a result of the alleged passing of Murphy Afolabi, Nigeria's film industry is once more in a grieving state.
The well-known Yoruba actor, 49, passed away in the early hours of this morning at his home.
On Sunday afternoon, veteran film producer and director Tunde Ola-Yusuf announced his departure on his Facebook page.
“Rest in peace. May God give the family and close associates the fortitude to bear the loss,†he wrote.
Just over a week ago, on Friday, May 5, the dead had his birthday.
Under Dagunro's direction, Murphy launched his career with the film "Ifa Olokun," and he has since appeared in and produced dozens more.
