NSCDC gets 207 promoted officers in Edo
207 recently promoted senior officers have been awarded with their new ranks by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps' (NSCDC) Edo State Command.
The new rank is a call to greater duties, dedication, efficiency, and effectiveness, according to Mr. Gbenga Agu, the state commandant of the Corps, who was in Benin on Tuesday when he decorated the officers.
He urged the promoted officers to be constantly available to fly the corps' flag and girded their loins to defend the duties assigned to them.
“The popular saying of ‘to him more is given, much is expected’ comes into play here.
“Be motivated by your achievements; get affiliated with the challenges of your new rank, departmental members.
“Gain the trust of your colleagues, and motivate yourself to fulfill the basic needs of realising your potential of reaching the peak of your personal growth and experiences,” he said.
He claimed that the corps was adopting a more optimistic view of workers, which is why they were believed to be competent and professional.
Nelson Adetan, a Deputy Commandant, spoke on behalf of the promoted officers and promised that the gift will be returned with greater commitment and diligence. Adetan praised the corps for deciding they were deserving of the promotion.
Nine Chief Superintendents, 92 Superintendents, three Assistant Commandants, and six Deputy Commandants are among the promoted officers. Additional staff members include 35 Assistant Superintendents I, 37 Assistant Superintendents II, and 25 Deputy Superintendents.
