NYSC assures corp members of increment in allowance
The National Youth Service Corps' Director General, YD Ahmed, has promised Corps Members that their monthly stipend will rise in tandem with Civil Servants' receipt of the newly approved federal minimum salary.
Speaking to Corps Members at the Kebbi State Orientation Camp in Dakingari and the Sokoto State Orientation Camp in Wamakko, Ahmed provided this promise.
He claimed that their enormous and unselfish contributions to the nation's socioeconomic progress cannot be understated.
Ahmed also pleaded with the Corps Members to take advantage of the year of service as a means of self-improvement and future goal-setting.
In addition, he gave the Corps Members advice on how to become self-sufficient by embracing the NYSC Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development program and gaining practical skills.
“At least learn a skill while in camp and after the Orientation Course, you continue with the post-camp training.
