Obasanjo poses as Keke rider in Ogun, picks passengers
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo sat behind the wheels of a tricycle (keke) on Saturday.
Obj, as popularly called, drove through some streets in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun, to pick up passengers.
The sight caught the attention of many, who cheered for the former head of state and also took pictures.
The elder statesman who provided ridesharing services to citizens moved through Moshood Abiola, NNPC Mega Station, and Kuto Market, among others.
The activity was part of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) Youth Development Center's OBJ @ 85 Free Keke program.
In his remarks, Obasanjo appealed to young people not to leave Nigeria to those who screw things up.
The ex-leader said despite the challenges, they should try to use the opportunities available to make a difference.
“Things are not as they should be, but young people, individually and collectively, have a role to play in making things the way they should be.
"If you leave things to those who screw it up for you and who say you're tomorrow's leaders, you'll never have that tomorrow.
“God gave you the innate ability to be who he wants you to be. If you decide, God will help you and find people to help you," he strengthened.
