Ogun gets Olanrewaju Ogunlowo as new Commissioner of Police
The appointment of CP Olanrewaju Ogunlowo from Kwara State as the new substantive Commissioner of Police for Ogun State has been approved by the Police Service Commission.
CP Abiodun Alamutu, who retired from the Nigeria Police Force, is replaced by CP Ogunlowo, according to a statement released Monday by Ikechukwu Ani, Head of Press and Public Relations.
In a letter signed by the Commission's secretary, Chief Onyemuche Nnamani, the Inspector General of Police has been informed of the Commission's clearance for implementation.
The new Ogun State Command Commissioner was congratulated by Commission Chairman DIG Hashimu Argungu, who also gave him advice on how to use his new position to make sure Ogun State is adequately policed, with law and order upheld and crime and criminality significantly decreased.
According to DIG Argungu, the commission will keep helping the police in every manner it can to keep Nigerians safe.
