Ogun govt demolishes Gbenga Daniel's wife's plaza
Olufunke Daniel, the wife of former state governor Gbenga Daniel, owned the building known as Datkem Plaza, which has since been demolished by the Ogun government.
The structure, which was in the state's Ijebu Ode region, was destroyed early on Sunday.
Olufunke expressed outrage over the state government's demolition of the structure in a statement sent through Adeyinka Kotoye, her attorney, despite receiving a notice from the court ordering a halt to the work.
“We were shocked and miffed that the Ogun State government ignored court papers served on its agents on Thursday, September 7, asking them to stop all actions on the building,†the statement reads.
