Ogun police arrest three men in possession of two human hearts
Three men have been taken into custody by police officers at the Zone 2 Command in Onikan, Lagos, in relation to the discovery of two possible human hearts in an apartment belonging to one of the suspects in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.
It was claimed that Adebanjo Wasiu, a man, had been hired by the main suspect, Moshood Najimdeen, to obtain two human hearts.
Wasiu, who allegedly received N50,000 for the service, then got in touch with Segun Asunni, who was said to have delivered the human hearts.
The principal suspect's home in the Oke-Ola neighbourhood of Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, was stormed by agents, according to Zone 2 Command Spokesperson SP Ayuba Umma, who verified the arrest. This is where the hearts were found.
According to Vanguard, Wasiu and Asunni asserted during their investigation that the purported human hearts were actually the hearts of pigs.
Wasiu said, †When Najimdeen contacted me for two human hearts, I told my friend Segun Asunni, who advised that we should deceive him by getting the hearts of two pigsâ€.
Speaking on the arrest, SP Umma, said, Investigation has commenced into the alleged offence while the two suspected human hearts have been sent to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH for thorough examination and confirmation. Further findings will be communicated.
