Ogun state government pays N500m to pensioners

In order to fulfill its commitment to ensuring an enjoyable and fulfilling life for older citizens, the Ogun State Government has contributed an additional N500m for the quarterly payment of gratuity to both State and Local Government pensioners.

The Bureau of Local Government Pensions' Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Olubukola Adeniregun, informed reporters of this in her office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, and reaffirmed that the current administration would continue to improve the quality of life for the elderly.

Adeniregun praised Prince Abiodun for the regular distribution of gratuity and payment of monthly pensions, noting that the State government paid N500m to the pensioners for the first quarter of the year in April 2022.

She was grateful to the retirees for their understanding, tolerance, and support of the current administration.
