Olanrewaju Ishola assumes as new Lagos Police Commissioner
Mr. Adegoke Fayoade has been replaced as Lagos State's Commissioner of Police by Mr. Olanrewaju Ishola. On Tuesday, Ishola succeeded Fayoade at the Lagos Police Command Headquarters in Ikeja.
Speaking, the newly appointed Lagos Police Commissioner promised to enhance the state's security model. Ishola promised to treat all law-abiding state residents equally and firmly.
He asked for the community's assistance in providing timely information while guaranteeing that everyone's property and life would be adequately protected—aside from the criminal elements.
Ishola began serving in the Nigeria Police Force in 1992 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police before taking on the role of 40th Commissioner of Police at the Lagos State Command.
From the University of Ibadan, he received a Bachelor of Science in Geography and an MSc in Urban and Regional Planning.
He participated in the Tactical Leadership and Command Course, Police Staff College Jos, the Strategic Leadership and Command Course, and the National Institute of Police Studies Abuja, among other trainings and educational endeavours.
