Ondo gov Aiyedatiwa dissolves cabinet
The dissolution of the State Executive Council has been announced by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State.
Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, the governor's chief press secretary, made the announcement in a statement on Wednesday, saying the decision will take effect immediately.
The statement, which confirmed the cabinet's dissolution, directed all impacted commissioners to turn over any government property they owned to the accounting officers of their ministries.
“The Governor of Ondo State, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the dissolution of the State Executive Council, with immediate effect.
However, because of the importance of their roles, the governor has excused two cabinet members from the dissolution.
They are Mrs. Omowunmi Isaac, the Commissioner for Finance, and Dr. Kayode Ajulo, SAN, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.
Governor Aiyedatiwa thanked the departing cabinet members for their contributions to the growth of the state while they were in office.
“Governor Aiyedatiwa thanked the EXCO members for their service and contributions to the development of Ondo State under his administration and wished them well in their future endeavours.”
