Ondo's first female speaker welcomes baby at 54
Jumoke Akindele-Ajulo, the first female speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, just gave birth.
She reportedly gave birth to the child when she was 54 years old.
Akindele, a Peoples Democratic Party member who served in the Assembly from 2011 to 2019, rose to the position of speaker in 2014 before losing it in 2017.
She served in the Assembly as the Okitipupa State Constituency 1 representative.
When friends and political allies heard about her new kid, they congratulated her on social media.
A post on the Facebook page of one of her associates, Segun Odidi, wrote, “What God cannot do doesn’t exist.
“First Female Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly delivered a bouncing baby on Saturday.
“Her first fruit!! What a cheering news! i’m so happy for you big sis. Congratulations Rt. Hon Jumoke Akindele.â€
