"Oyostate College of Education, Lanlate will foldup by January, 2022" says the school Governing Council Chairman, Group Captain (RTD) Bisi Ojebola.

The Governing Council Chairman of Oyo State College of Education, Lanlate, Group Captain (RTD) Bisi Ojebola have said on Monday 27th of December, 2021, at a town hall meeting held by Lanlate Progressive Union (LPU) in Lanlate, the host community of Oyo State College of Education, Lanlate, he said "Our School will fold up come January, 2022" if Oyo State Government stops is financial support as planned by Governor Seyi  Makinde come 2022. 

It has been made known by the Governing Council Chairman that the school is really struggling financially and the school is describe as the poorest college of education in the world.

The Oyo State Government have been fully responsible for all financial stipends of the school, even after gaining full autonomy in year 2020; paying all the staff salary all through the year 2021 which was not so for other tertiary institution in the state.

Group Captain (RTD) Bisi Ojebola has said he will have to step-down from his position and responsibility if the state government continues with is intention. All others stake holders attention have been drawn to this issue and immediate actions taking to make sure the state government is not stopping the support intervention come January, 2022.
