PASAN suspends its indefinite strike

The National Assembly's Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) has suspended its strike. Workers have been on an indefinite strike since Monday before last to make demands for some bonus payments. PASAN leader Sunday Sabiyi told workers at the entrance to the National Assembly on Tuesday that they were ready to suspend the strike after some agreements were reached with Senate leadership. However, the workers threatened to resume industrial action if the agreements reached were not implemented by the end of July.
