"Peter's running mate, Datti Ahmed, believes gays should be killed" – Fani Kayode

Peter Obi, a presidential candidate for the Labour Party, has been charged with encouraging the murder of homosexuals by Femi-Fani Kayode (FFK).

The charge was made in a post on the Twitter page of the former minister of aviation.

He asserted that there is no question that Ahmed Datti, Peter Obi's Vice, favours the murder of homosexuals in Nigeria.

"Peter’s running mate, Dati Ahmed, believes gays should be killed. No doubt Peter secretly shares his view.

”Killing people as a penalty for their sexual orientation & choices is a reflection of the fascistic & barbaric society that the Obidients want to foist on us. God forbid!” he tweeted on Sunday.

Recall that when the anti-gay measure was being debated in the Nigerian Senate, Baba-Ahmed was a senator. In 2014, Baba-Ahmed stated his own viewpoint during a plenary and suggested that such "elements" in society have to be eliminated.

However, a video of Baba-Ahmed urging the eradication of gay people went viral on social media soon after Peter Obi introduced him as his running mate.

In response to the popular video, Peter Obi stated that "2014 to today is almost eight years." Despite this, everyone has said things they believe in, and that is acceptable.
