In response to growing security concerns in the impacted villages, the Plateau State Government immediately enforced a dusk-to-dawn curfew in Barkin Ladi, Bokkos, and Mangu Local Government Areas.

Movement is restricted between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. every day until further notice, starting on Monday, September 21, 2026.

The state government stated in a statement signed by Joyce Lohya Ramnap, Commissioner for Information and Communication, that the measure is intended to preserve public order, safeguard lives, and provide security authorities with the chance to stabilise the impacted areas.

In order to prevent needless hardship or conflict, the administration advised citizens of the three local government regions to completely abide by the instruction and schedule their personal, business, and agricultural activities around the restricted hours.

It also declared an immediate ban on motorbike use in the impacted districts and instructed security personnel to firmly enforce the curfew.

Law-abiding citizens were reassured by the administration that security guards would enforce the law in a professional manner.
