Police arrest suspected murderer of Reverend Sister in Rivers
The arrest of a guy named Kelvin Okoro for allegedly fatally cutting a revered sister in the Aluu community of the Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State has been verified by the Rivers State Police Command.
It was discovered that the suspect had been nagging the deceased (Maureen Wecheonwu) to pay off an unspecified amount of money that he owed.
According to a source who asked not to be named due to the delicate nature of the situation, Kelvin deceived his benefactor by leading her to a desolate location where he allegedly committed the heinous act on Thursday early before running away.
The source added that several locals found the Reverend Sister's body in a pool of her blood and informed the local security agency.
He stated, “What we heard was that he didn’t know how to repay the money. So he called the woman out in the guise of discussing the debt.
“Not knowing his evil intentions because the Reverend Sister had been complaining to people in the community that he had refused to pay his debt, so he took her to a lonely path and hit her severely with an object.”
He went on to say that the vigilante dubbed OSPAC expanded their investigation after people began to question why they hadn't seen the man following the finding of her body.
