Police arrest three Eiye suspected cultists in Ogun
Three suspected Eiye Confraternity cultists were detained by Ogun State Police command agents.
This information was included in a statement released in the capital city of Ogun State, Abeokuta, and provided to reporters by the command spokeswoman, Omolola Odutola.
According to Omolola, the Divisional Police Officer of Sango-Ota, CSP Saleh Dahiru, led his anti-robbery team to School 3 in Joju, Sango Ota, where the suspects, Dakwo Micheal Jackson, Joel Obieva, and Oluwaseun Bamideke, were caught planning their illegal activities. This was done after acting on reliable information provided by an anonymous source.
Omolola added that during questioning, the detained people admitted they were part of a larger gang of the Eiye Confraternity that included five members and still had their boss at large.
She said, “Their intention was to meet at the school before carrying out their planned operation.
“However, thanks to the swift action of the Sango Division police, they were apprehended before they could execute their nefarious plans.
“The police are currently making efforts to track down the remaining suspects, who managed to escape arrest.â€
Omolola stated that as soon as police finished their investigation, the suspects would be charged in court.
