Police arrest two suspected cultists in Lagos
Early on Sunday morning, members of the Lagos State Police Command's Rapid Response Squad detained two college students who were allegedly involved in a cult. This was revealed by the RRS on Thursday in a statement posted on X.com.
The suspects, named as Daniel Prince, 22, also known as "Rugged Promotion," and Okey Bright, 21, also known as "B in Fine Boy," were reportedly caught at around 4:00 a.m. while returning from an annual fraternity convention at a Lekki hotel.
The statement partly read, “Preliminary investigations revealed that Bright, a resident of Ikoyi, joined the confraternity in 2024. He is a university student. Prince, who goes by the alias “Rugged Promotion”, is a hairstylist and a university student.
“Their arrest was prompted by the suspicious movement of one of the suspects, Daniel Prince, who was carrying a cross bag.
“In Prince’s bag, the operatives discovered caps associated with the confraternity, leading to the immediate arrest of both suspects.”
According to reports, the suspects have been moved to the Special Squad of the Commissioner of Police for additional examination.
