Police arrest wanted Abuja kidnapper
Samaila Fafa, also known as Habu Ibrahim, was apprehended by Federal Capital Territory Police Command operations. Nyesom Wike, the minister of the FCT, has placed a N20 million bounty on the second of the two kidnappers, Samaila Fafa.
The kidnapper was apprehended on February 24, 2024, at approximately 7:05 p.m., according to a statement released by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, on Tuesday. The operation was carried out by agents who broke into Sardauna Forest in the Toto region of Nasarawa State, acting upon reliable intelligence.
On February 14, 2024, Wike announced the placement of a N20 million bounty on Dahiru Adamu and Abu Ibrahim, two robbers who were allegedly terrorising Abuja.
The statement was made by the former governor of Rivers State during a meeting with CP Benneth Igweh, the Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory, at the FCT Police Command Headquarters in Garki, Abuja, during the procession of 23 criminal suspects.
One of the two sought kidnappers, Saidu Abdulkadir, also known as Dahiru Adamu, was earlier apprehended by the FCT police command's anti-kidnapping unit after agents raided two kidnappers' camps via Kuje Area Council on February 15, 2024, at around midnight.
