Police ban driving of tinted glass in Edo
Anyone found driving a car in the state while wearing tinted glasses faces instant arrest, according to an order from the Edo State Police Command. Iwo Nemi, the commissioner of police for Edo State, has issued an order for the arrest of anyone operating an unregistered car or one with a covered license plate.
Nemi's instructions were included in a statement that the command's public relations officer, SP Moses Yamu, sent to media on Wednesday.
According to the commissioner, the plan aims to reduce the state's increasing number of kidnapping, robbery, and cult cases.
He issued an order for the automobiles to be impounded and issued a warning that the law will be vigorously implemented, no matter what.
He claims that this notice serves as a warning to the public to refrain from utilising these kinds of cars in order to avoid being detained because the law does not respect persons and no one will escape punishment.
He made a further plea to the state's citizens to work with law enforcement in their efforts to protect public property and lives, particularly in the run-up to the election.
