Police declare Ebonyi APGA gov candidate wanted for murder
Ifeanyi Odoh, the All Progressive Grand Alliance's (APGA) candidate for governor, has been branded a wanted person by the police in Ebonyi State.
On Monday, Odoh and nine other people were listed as wanted in connection with the murder of Igbokwe Ewa, a monarch.
Last Monday, unidentified gunmen assassinated the monarch in his country home.
He served as the Umu-Ezekoha community's traditional chief in the Ezza North local government region.
The ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) charged Odoh and his allies with being involved in the monarch's demise after his passing last week.
But Odoh angrily refuted the claim, saying that the monarch was like a father to him because they both were from the same local government.
Onome Onovwakpoyeya, the spokeswoman for the Ebonyi police, issued a statement on Monday saying that Odoh and 9 other people were wanted.
He said: “The Ebonyi State Police Command has declared the under-listed persons wanted in connection with the murder of his Royal Highness Eze Christopher Igboke Ewa of Umu-Ezekoha Community in Ezza North.
Samuel Onyekachi Aligwe, Peter Orogwu (also known as One Boy), Chukwudi Aliewa (also known as Ezza), and Chika Ezealigbo were mentioned as additional individuals on the wanted list.
Nnaemeka Egede (also known as Champaign), Nnabuike Okohu, Ogobuchi Agbom (also known as Okiri), Nonso Obasi, and Ikechukwu Nwoba (aka Solid) are few more.
