Police declare Oyo transport leader 'Auxiliary' wanted
The ousted Chairman of Park Management System (PMS), Mukaila Lamidi aka Auxiliary, has been listed as wanted by the Oyo State Police Command, the authorities announced in a press conference on Friday.
The action comes after a second search of his hotel on Thursday, during which more lethal weapons were found.
According to Channels Television, policemen raided Auxiliary's home in Ibadan and found firearms and ammo.
The suspect apparently escaped during the operation, but some of his lieutenants were detained by police.
After the operation, there was a noticeable amount of anxiety in several areas of the state, particularly in the big parking lots and garages in Ibadan, as there were rumours of unverified casualties during the shootout between the police and PMS members.
