Police recover gun from fleeing suspect in Lagos
In the Egbe area of the state, the Lagos State Police Command apprehended suspects who were running away with a gun and six cartridges.
In Lagos on Saturday, police officers on patrol in the region retrieved the items, according to police spokesman SP Benjamin Hundeyin.
He claimed that when the suspects saw the police patrol team, they dropped a polyethylene bag and ran away.
“On sighting a police patrol vehicle on the ever-busy Liasu Road in Egbe, the hoodlums dropped a polyethylene bag and took to their heels.
“On checking the bag, a locally-made firearm and six live cartridges were recovered,’’ he explained.
