Police release picture, name of wanted suspect in DPO's murder
Following his designation as a wanted person, Gift David Okpara, also known as 2-Baba, the alleged head of the cult gang that killed the divisional police officer in command of the Ahoada Police Divisions in the state, has had his official photograph made public by the Rivers State Police Command.
Grace Iringe-Koko, the Command's public relations officer, released the photo on orders from Usman Akali Baba, the Inspector General of Police, and Siminalayi Fubara, the state governor, who also issued a wanted notice for Okpara and his gang members.
The suspect is shown in the police-released photo facing charges of conspiracy, cultism, and the murder of SP Bako Angbashim.
In order to get the incentives offered to the state governor, the police are asking members of the public who know Okpara's location or the whereabouts of his gang to come forward to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
Okpara and his crew were the subject of a N100m reward imposed by Governor Fubara.
SP On Friday of last week, in the Odiemude community of Ahoada East Local Government Area, Angbashim was killed by suspected cultists terrorizing Ahoada East and West in Rivers State.
The suspects chopped his body into pieces.
