Police rescue abducted wife of former AIG Hakeem Odumosu
The wife of former Assistant Inspector General of Police Hakeem Odumosu, Folashade Odumosu, has been saved by Nigeria Police Force operations.
On Wednesday, the victim was allowed to return home. It was learnt that the operation that saved the retired AIG's wife was headed by Lanre Ogunlowo, the commissioner of police for Ogun State.
In a phone call on Thursday, Force spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi told Channels Television about Folashade's rescue. The abductors were neutralised throughout the operation.
The money paid to the kidnappers as bait was also collected by the operatives, according to Adejobi.
He will not, however, provide the precise location of the victim's rescue or the sum paid to the captors.
According to Adejobi, Kayode Egbetokun, the Inspector General of Police, praised the CP and police officers for their rescue efforts.
The Nigeria Police's dedication to protecting Nigerians and the country was reaffirmed by the Force spokesperson.
Folashade Odumosu, the wife of the retired AIG, was kidnapped last Thursday at the entrance to her home in Arepo, Owode Local Government Area, Ogun State.
The abductors dragged the former AIG's wife out of her Lexus Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) and drove her through a marsh to an unidentified location.
