POLITICS 2023: Kwara state governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq declares his support for Rotimi Amaechi as the presidential candidate

 Kwara Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq says Rotimi Amaechi, presidential candidate on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform, has contributed a lot to infrastructure development.  He said so on Saturday when Amaechi visited Kwara to meet with APC stakeholders in the state about his presidential bid. Abdulrazaq commended Amaechi for his efforts as transport minister, adding that his vision will benefit Nigeria if he gets the party's ticket. The Kwara state governor described him as "the most powerful minister in President Muhammadu Buhari's cabinet," adding that Amaechi's efforts to promote rail transport have put the country on the development path. As we all know, Chibuike Amaechi led our campaign on the Kwara state government building. He was a pillar of strength for the party. He delivered the party; he fulfilled his mandate; That's why President Muhammadu Buhari has so much faith in him," Abdulrazaq said.  “In terms of budget, no ministry has beaten its own and that says a lot about its capabilities. “What we need in Nigeria today is infrastructure. If we don't have the necessary basic infrastructure, we won't be able to develop. You have seen the work he (Amaechi) has done as Governor of Rivers State.”

Addressing delegates, Amaechi said his decision to contest the presidency was to offer the people dividends of democracy and to help make the change everyone desires. "I chose to run for the presidency because I have something to offer to see how working with you can create the change we all desire. But you can't make that change unless you empower me by voting for me," he said.
