Ravil Maganov: Russian oil official confirmed dead
Ravil Maganov, an oil oligarch from Russia, was found dead on Thursday after jumping from a hospital window in Moscow, the country's capital.
The aforementioned situation has been referred to as "weird" by certain media outlets because Maganov's company criticized President Vladimir Putin when Russia invaded Ukraine in February.
According to Business Insider, he may have committed himself, which would be the most recent in a string of untimely or mysterious deaths of Russian oil magnates.
One of Russia's biggest energy corporations, Lukoil, has a board of directors that was led by the 67-year-old Maganov.
An "informed source" told the Russian news agency Interfax that Maganov "fell out of the window" while he was at the Central Clinical Hospital in Moscow and later passed away from his wounds.
The presidential administration, which oversees the hospital site, confirmed the report to the Russia Information Agency (RIA).
Nearly six months to the day after Lukoil issued a statement expressing "deepest misgivings" regarding Putin's campaign in Ukraine, Maganov passed away.
The company's board of directors issued a warning on March 3 on "the awful events in Ukraine," urging a ceasefire as well as "serious negotiations and diplomacy."
According to the board, it would "continue to operate in all the nations and territories in which it is present."
