Rivers police arrest suspected notorious armed robber
In the Bodo village in the Gokana Local Government Area of the state, a well-known armed robber and cultist was detained, according to the Rivers State Police Command. In a statement released in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, Grace Iringe-Koko, the state police command's spokesperson, revealed this.
According to Iringe-Koko, Federal, also known as Menemene Lucky Baboona, was identified as the 26-year-old suspect. She claimed that the suspect was apprehended by agents from the Gokana LGA headquarters, the Kpor Division, working with a local vigilante group in the region.
The state's police image maker claimed that the suspect, whom she called infamous, had provided helpful comments that would enable the apprehending of other members who were on the run.
The statement partly reads, “Operatives of the command attached to Kpor Division, in collaboration with a local vigilante group, arrested a notorious cultist and armed robbery kingpin, one Menemene Lucky Baboona, a.k.a. Federal witch ‘M,’ aged 26 years, a native of the Bodo community in Gokana Local Government Area in Rivers State.
“The suspect made a useful statement to arrest other fleeing members of his gang, and the investigation is ongoing.”
