Russia extends list of unfriendly nations
The Russian government has increased the number of "unfriendly foreign states" on its list in light of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
A decision signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin now encompasses countries like Greece, Denmark, Slovenia, Croatia, and Slovakia, according to CNN.
According to the directive, countries are deemed hostile to Russia if they "conduct hostile actions" against it.
The United States of America and the Czech Republic are already on the list.
The hiring of employees for embassies, consulates, and representative offices of state bodies by the countries on this list is restricted.
President Vladimir Putin signed the proclamation on unfriendly nations in April 2022, just two months after Russian soldiers invaded Ukraine.
According to the regulation, the hiring cap for Greece is 34, for Denmark, it's 20, and for Slovakia, it's 16.
As was the case with the United States, Slovenia and Croatia will not be permitted to employ personnel for their diplomatic missions and consular services.
