Samsung Galaxy S23 will only support 25W fast charging

Typically, Samsung, a major South Korean manufacturer, introduces its new Galaxy flagship line in the first quarter of the year. We only have a few months till the release of a new Galaxy series, given that we are currently in Q3. There was a story earlier today claiming that the Samsung Galaxy S23 series has received the Chinese 3C certification. 

This series will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, according to certification. In fact, it's possible that these gadgets are the first to employ this premier processor. However, people are not very interested in the chip information.

Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy S23 will only support 25W wired fast charging, according to the 3C certification. For many Android users, this is a significant letdown.

The 25W fast charge is marginally less competitive than rival devices for a high-end flagship in 2023. All OnePlus mid-range phones now enable 150W wired flash charging, according to PhoneArena. This indicates that the Samsung Galaxy S23 series' charging capacity will undoubtedly disappoint. In fact, anything less than 50W is horrifying in the Android camp.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series' rapid charging is undoubtedly inferior to its rivals from the Android camp. However, Samsung's 25W rapid charge has an advantage over the iPhone 14 series. With its 25W charger, the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra's sizable 5000mAh battery is fully charged in roughly an hour.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max charges from zero to one hundred percent in around two hours using a 30W charger. In comparison to the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, this is almost twice as long.

These models, though, are a far cry from previous Chinese flagships. Currently, the iQOO 10 Pro has a commercial 200W wired fast charger that is mass-produced and can fully charge the enormous 4700 mAh battery in just 10 minutes. It is expected that the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 smartphone, which supports 200W flash charging, would also be available in 2023.
