Security officers remove man from plane for opposing Tinubu
An unidentified passenger was kicked off a flight for insisting that Bola Ahmed Tinubu not be inaugurated as president on May 29.
Notwithstanding his resistance, the lone protester was removed from the Friday trip to Abuja.
In the video obtained, he is heard saying “Tinubu cannot be sworn inâ€. Then in another clip where he is being taken out, he’s heard shouting “Obidients you’re here. They are doing this to me. Obidients you’re here, I am naked. Obidients you’re here, I am going naked.â€
His behaviour caused the 6 PM flight to be delayed by an additional hour, and it took more than five airport security personnel to remove him.
The 36 state governors who operate under the auspices of the Nigeria Governors' Forum requested on Friday that the Department of State Services, DSS, instead of making statements and inflaming the political climate, arrest and bring to justice those who have been identified as plotting to erect an interim government.
The governors, however, committed to opposing any illegitimate methods of regime change and reaffirmed their commitment to continuing to defend Nigeria's democracy in their capacity as elected officials.
The DSS had earlier claimed in a statement that it had identified several important participants in the plan for an interim administration in Nigeria, but it did not identify the masterminds.
The agency claimed that the interim government's planners had already held a number of meetings where they discussed a variety of options for carrying out their scheme, such as organizing endless demonstrations across Nigerian cities, obtaining a warrant to declare a state of emergency, or obtaining a court injunction to prevent the inauguration of the executive and legislative branches at the federal and state levels.
