Sex worker stabs client to death in Lagos
At the Jakande Housing Estate in the Lekki neighbourhood of Lagos State, a 48-year-old man only known as Okafor is said to have been fatally stabbed by a sex worker named Joy Kelvin.
It was reported that the incident happened on Monday at roughly 5:30 in the morning.
Joy was invited to stay the night at the late Okafor's house, but the next morning, they got into a fight over money.
According to a police source who talked with our correspondent under the condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to discuss the case, the suspect fatally struck her client with a sharp object.
“Okafor brought the sex worker home the night earlier. She demanded her fee when he was leaving in the morning but Okafor did not give her what they agreed. This led to an argument and Joy reached for a sharp object and stabbed him. Okafor became unconscious after the attack and later died.”
Confirming the event, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said the deceased’s friend made the report at the Ilasan Police Division in the region.
He continued by saying that a group of police investigators had come to the scene, taken pictures, and removed the body to be examined by an autopsy at the General Hospital Mortuary in Yaba.
