Six family members discovered dead in Abia
One family's six members have been found dead in Obehie, Abia State's Ukwa West LGA. According to DAILY POST has gathered that the six family members' remains were found by their neighbours.
The catastrophe that occurred in Isi Obehie on Wednesday has left the surrounding villages and the community in shock and sadness.
Although the family members' official cause of death is still unknown, a community source speculated that the victims might have perished from breathing in generator fumes. There are also allegations that a "spiritual attack" caused the victims' deaths.
The community source went on to say that the tragedy claimed the lives of three children, their mother, the mother's sister, and her brother-in-law.
He claims that the only surviving member of the household is the father, who was away from home at the time of the occurrence. According to the source, the victims were citizens of another Abia local government but had been living in Obehie before to their untimely deaths.
The victims' identities are unknown, however ASP Maureen Chinaka, the Abia State Police Command spokesman, said that the Command has been notified of the incident. Chinaka stated that enquiries are being conducted to ascertain the reason behind the fatalities.
