SPORT: Leicester City to offer €14m to Lookman
After a remarkable 2021/22 season at Leicester City, Brendan Rodgers is keen to secure a permanent deal with Nigeria international Ademola Lookman, who is on a season-long loan deal from RB Leipzig.
According to Transfermarket, Lookman is currently valued at €9m but should Leicester decide to sign him permanently, he would cost the foxes €14m.
Lookman has played 40 games in all competitions and contributed 13 goals (eight goals and five assists).
Post-season, Rodgers - who works at centre-back, central midfield and right wing, according to the Daily Mail - said he was impressed by the Nigerian's performance during his loan spell at the club and would like to keep him.
"He's a young player that I like a lot and he's done a really good job in his time here," said Rogers.
"We'll be discussing that in the coming weeks and if it's possible I'd like to be able to do something because I think he's still growing.
The club professed that Lookman is the type of player they would love to work with.
