Sydney detective dies inside police station
The finding of a detective deceased inside a Sydney police station has prompted a major investigation.
The body of a 46-year-old detective sergeant was discovered inside Sydney's southwest Ermington Police Station at midday on Monday.
At the time, the officer was employed by a specialized command.
There are no strange circumstances surrounding the man's death, according to NSW Police.
Reports regarding the deceased will be sent to the Professional Standards Command and the Law Enforcement Conduct Commission, respectively.
A report for the coroner is currently being drafted about the 46-year-old deceased.
