Tambuwal declared winner of Sokoto South senatorial seat
The election for the senatorial seat in the Sokoto South senatorial district has been declared won by Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Tambuwal the winner on Sunday. INEC returning officer Professor Abubakar Bagudu made the declaration.
According to Bagudu, Tambuwal received 100,860 votes to defeat APC candidate Abdullahi Danbaba Dambuwa, who received 95,884.
On April 15, 2023, a Saturday, there was an election.
