Taraba gov's sister dies after being shot during an attack on her car
Dr. Agbu Kefas, the governor of Taraba State, is in mourning after his younger sister, Atsi Kefas, passed away.
Days after being shot during a gunmen's ambush on her car along the Wukari-Kente route in the Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State, she passed away at night in Abuja, according to a close family source who spoke to our correspondent.
According to reports, a police escort mortally wounded her in the stomach after unintentionally firing a gun in response to the assault.
“It’s sad that we lost her last night. We are devastated by this sad event,” the family source told our correspondent on the phone.
Many people admired the late Atsi Kefas for her kindness and modesty. On social media, friends, family, and well-wishers have been paying their respects to her.
