Three shot as thugs disrupt election in Benue
In the Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State, at least three people who were thought to be political thugs have been killed.
According to information obtained by DAILY POST, thugs broke into polling places 026 and 004 in Gboko South while voting was still taking place and tried to steal ballot boxes and the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System, or BVAS.
According to DAILY POST, Moses Agure-Dam, an eyewitness claimed that military officers shot and killed the thugs.
He said, “The thugs invaded the polling units and disrupted the election. They were three in number, one snatched the BVAS while others snatched ballot boxes but they didn’t succeed.
“They were all shot dead instantly by the soldiers in the areaâ€.
