Tinubu emerges as the APC presidential flag bearer, Bakare polls no vote
Former Minister of State for Education Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba and Citadel Global Church acting overseer Pastor Tunde Bakare did poorly in the All Progressives Congress presidential primary. While Nwajiuba was only able to receive one voice, Bakare was unable to put his resolve into action after failing to poll any vote.
Before the vote, the lead pastor had shunned calls for resignations for other stronger candidates, vowing he would rather step up. At the end of the process, the party's national leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, secured the sole ticket in the race for the APC's presidential nominee.
