Troops rescue seven abducted students, three construction workers in Zamfara
Seven female students from the Federal University of Gusau in Zamfara State as well as three construction workers who were kidnapped by bandits last Friday have been freed by Operation Hadarin Daji troops.
According to a high military source who spoke to Channels Television, during military rescue efforts, 10 other people, including three employees or labourers of a construction business, managed to escape from captivity.
Thirteen students and three construction workers who were working on projects at the university have so far reclaimed their freedom as a result of the Joint Task Force of Operation Hadarin Daji's "prompt response" of troops from the land and air components.
The source claims that some were seized by the military while others made their way to the school administration.
