Two Brazilian men kill seven after being mocked for losing at pool
In a horrifying video, two men are shown opening fire on a gathering and killing seven people, including a 12-year-old girl, in a pool club in Brazil, allegedly because they were made fun of for losing two straight games.
"The way it happened, it is clear that some victims may not even have been involved with the game that was taking place at the establishment," Police Lt. Romening dos Santos Silva said, according to multiple media outlets.
According to the police, the shooters are Ezequias Souza Ribeiro, 27, and Edgar Ricardo de Oliveira, 30, and they are still on the run.
The men allegedly lost two straight contests on Tuesday in Sinop City, Mato Grosso.
Brutal security footage from the event shows one of the attackers forcing the victims against a wall with a revolver while his partner retrieved a shotgun from a pickup truck.
In a matter of seconds, the man with the pump-action shotgun started his terrifying assault by firing at targets directly in front of him. The other man joined in with his handgun as he appeared to choose his victims one at a time.
Several victims fell to the ground right away, while others fought for their life.
"On their way out, the killers grab small amounts of cash on pool tables, as well as a woman’s purse," The New York Post reports.
Larissa Frasao de Almeida, 12, Orisberto Pereira Sousa, 38, Adriano Balbinote, 46, Getulio Rodrigues Frasao Junior, 36, Josue Ramos Tenorio, 48, and Maciel Bruno de Andrade Costa, 35 are the six individuals that perished instantly.
Elizeu Santos da Silva, age 47, who was the seventh victim, was later declared dead.
